Click for Study | Cross-Reference | Video Worship Psalms 19:1-4 - The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Worship: Take another look at God's magnificent creation around you. Stand in awe at his creativity. Thank him for details that you see and hear. Remember Genesis 1:1-10 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day. And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning - the second day. And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good. Remember: God, as the Creator, is in a class all by himself. There is such vastness and order in his creativity, unparalleled by any creative attempts of man. Believe John 6:16-21 - When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake, where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them. A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed three or three and a half miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were terrified. But he said to them, "It is I; don't be afraid." Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading. Believe: Jesus not only created the waters, but he walks on top of the waters. He is still Lord over creation. Surrender Colossians 1:15-17 - He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Surrender: Everything was created BY Jesus and FOR Jesus. In other words, He owns you. Will you submit to His Lordship today?
Watch the heavens declare the glory of God!
Read Romans 1:20 - For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Why are men without excuse? What does it mean that men are without excuse?
What was God doing before creation?
Ephesians 1:4 - For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. He was thinking about you! He was choosing you!
Who was there at the beginning of creation?
Father - Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:1-2 Jesus - John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15-17: Hebrews 1:1-2 Spirit - Genesis 1:2
Read 1 John 1:5 - This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
