Touch and scroll picture below to begin Worship Psalms 131 - My heart is not proud, O Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore. Worship: Throw off the “adult” cares that you wear as you come to worship. Put on child-like trust in your Father. Declare that your hope is in Him. Remember Genesis 2:1-3 - Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Remember: The Almighty God chose to rest. So can you. So should you. Believe Matthew 12:8-14 - For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath. Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other. But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus. Believe: The Sabbath rest is not a legalism, but a reminder to let Jesus be Lord of your time. He will show you how to rest. Surrender Hebrews 4:9-11 - There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their [Israel’s] example of disobedience. Surrender: Make every effort to enter into rest. Seems like a paradox? No, only a saving relationship with Jesus brings real rest. Make every effort to seek Jesus and run into relationship with Him.
