Do you ever feel like your Father is just out of reach, hard to catch up with? Keep Reading...
Luke 15:20 NIV - "So he got up and went to his father. 'But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.'" When God tells you to seek him with all your heart, what is he really saying? Is God a moving target who makes it difficult for you to actually reach him? What is God's position toward you? We often pursue God with a sense of pressure. A longer quiet time, more prayer, more earnest devotions. It never seems like enough. When we feel like God is always demanding more, we quickly lose heart, and our devotion falters. The prodigal son of Luke 15 did not even care to show devotion to his father. Rather, he rebelled and squandered his inheritance with immorality and reckless living. Finally, this lost son "came to his senses." Well, actually, he was hungry and thought he might be better off with his father. So he set out for home. The father saw this lost son when he was still a long way off. And the father ran to him. Even before hearing the apology and determining pure motivation, the father embraced his son. Do you realize that this is the Father's posture toward you? The Father is not manipulative and mean, always demanding more religious exercise. He is simply looking for our willingness to humble ourselves before him… our willingness to take a step of faith. He covers the distance between us with his run. Our Father is for us, not against us. He is the God who runs to us and embraces us. Is this the Father that you serve?

We all have sinned, whether by action, by words, or just by simply thinking of doing it. Sometimes when we enjoy our life, we forgot to call on God. Some people also afraid to call unto Him for they know how big their sins are and afraid that God won't hear their prayers. Some people don't acknowledge God at all,for they think that they can do things on their own. But for me, God is just waiting for us to run to Him, to call unto Him. If our heart seeks Him and we sincerely repent our sins, God will hear us and forgive us.
