9/3/2018 3 Comments Focus on the Unseen
Do you find yourself getting caught up in your day to day world of the five senses? Your eyes are set on what you can make, who you can talk to, the food in front of you. Have you missed out on a whole realm that is happening right under your nose? God is on the move. The spirit realm is alive and active. Want to see it? Read more...
Pray Dear Jesus, please help me see what you see. I want to understand what you are saying about yourself and the world around me. Your perspective matters. In Jesus' name, Amen. Read 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 Reflect In this broken world, we will have troubles. They are unavoidable. The point is not to escape pain and hardship. God calls us to do something different. He calls us to focus on the unseen. How will that help me in the midst of my troubles, you wonder? There is a whole other realm in operation all around you. For Jesus created all things, seen and unseen (Col. 1:16). When we choose to only see the physical realm (i.e. all our troubles), we are completely blind to where God is and what he is doing. In reality Jesus is seated on throne next to your Father. He is interceding for you (Rom. 8:34). The Holy Spirit is interceding for you (Rom. 8:27). He is working everything for your good (Rom. 8:28). But if you fix your eyes on the seen realm, you will completely miss what God is doing. Hopelessness will quickly close in on you. Eyes of faith remain fixed on the unseen realm. Where will you focus today? Meditate Colossians 3:1-3 - Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Apply It is in prayer - listening and talking to God - that we really connect into the spirit realm. Ask the Holy Spirit how you can pray right now. Ask for a prayer mission. Respond to his prompting. You are focusing on the unseen and having a big impact on the spiritual and physical realms.

You're not supposed to "see" the unseen. That's where faith comes in. You gotta catch this in the spirit - not the flesh.
