Do you have what it takes to defeat the enemy? Yes. But your talent and power are not your greatest weapons. Keep Reading...
READ 1 Samuel 17:40-50 KEY VERSE 1 Samuel 17:47 - All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands. THINK ABOUT IT Yes, David had killed a lion and a bear before. Yes, he knew how to use a slingshot. But, his previous experience and skill was no match for the contest before him. If he rested on his own talent and skill, his head would have come off. David had something else that provided the key for victory. Faith. His confidence that God would fight for him... that God would slay the giant actually brought the defeat of the giant and the whole Philistine army. The defiance of Goliath roused David's faith into action. He did not just want to get even with Goliath. David saw with spiritual eyes what was at stake. He saw that this was primarily a spiritual battle between the forces of darkness and God's kingdom. David's faith connected the spiritual battle to the physical one. His greatest weapon - faith - led the way in releasing God's power to destroy the enemy. PRAY Dear Father, open my eyes to see with eyes of faith. I want to be a part of pushing the enemy back and seeing You gain victory in my day. I trust You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I read somewhere an interesting comment about David and Goliath. The army of Israel is cowering in terror before Goliath, saying, "Look how much bigger he is than us!" Then, envision David's response: "Yes, but look how much smaller he is than God!" Our God is bigger than any problem we might have.
