Your mouth is a powerful instrument created by God to be used by God. Keep Reading...
Pray Dear Lord Jesus, I don’t want to hold anything back from you. Teach me obedience through your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen. Read Exodus 4:10-16 - Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.” Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses and he said, “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and his heart will be glad when he sees you. You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do. He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth and as if you were God to him." Reflect Since the beginning, God has chosen to work through the human voice to bring about his purposes. But he needs a willing person to speak on his behalf. He wanted Moses to speak and see a great deliverance brought about for Israel. But Moses offered excuses. Today, he asks you to speak. For "how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?" Romans 10:14 Jesus commissions you to use your mouth to teach, train and disciple the nations. Matthew 28:18-20 Moses offered excuses. He didn’t want to use his mouth. What will you do? It’s so easy to excuse silence. You might think that someone else could speak better, or that your voice doesn’t count. But God's word is clear. He says, "I created your mouth… I want you to speak." One of the enemy's greatest strategies to halt the progress of the Great Commission is to tempt you to remain silent. When God has commanded you to speak, silence becomes rebellion. This rebellion angers God. Exodus 4:14 Apply Don’t make excuses for your silence. Break the sound barrier and share your faith today. Let someone know that Jesus is alive and that he cares. God is determined to partner with you and use your mouth. Be willing to speak for him. Read More Matthew 28:18-20 Romans 10:14-17
