Do you get stuck debating your worthiness with the enemy? Learn to stop debating and start overcoming. Keep Reading...
READ Revelation 12:10-11 - Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. REFLECT The enemy is busy. He is busy accusing you - your past, your character, your choices, your looks and more. He will even twist positive things in your life into an accusation. This enemy of accusation needs to be cast down and defeated. But instead of dealing with the enemy, we often just live with darts of accusation stuck in our back. We assume that the enemy is right... that he does have a basis for his lies... that we are to blame. Instead of dealing with the enemy, we learn to cope with him. We fall for his temptation of accusation. It is really a temptation to lie against God's character. For God is not accusing us. But we act like he is... It's time to deal with the accuser and overcome his temptation to lie against God and ourselves. The Bible says that we overcome the accuser and his lies in two ways. First, we must remember that the basis for our blamelessness is not our perfect track record. It is the blood of Jesus poured out on the cross for us. The enemy wants us to prove our worthiness to counteract the accusation. This will never work. We need to cling to Jesus and his sacrifice. His once-for-all death is good enough. Remember this, and don't get caught up trying to prove your worth. Also, your words have power. Use your words of testimony about God to throw down the accuser. The enemy wants to silence you with his ruse of accusation. Go in the opposite spirit and get vocal. Speak out the truth of your status as an adopted child of the King. Remind yourself and the powers of darkness that you have been saved and forgiven. Don't let this be only a mental process. You overcome the enemy by getting the words out of your mouth. RESPOND Take a moment to remember what Jesus has done in your life. Remember his forgiveness, salvation, provision and revelation in your life. Now speak these things out. Let this be a practice in your life, and the voice of accusation will grow more and more faint.
