​Psalms 139:13-16 - For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

My Dear Maker, 
Thank you for your intentional design of me. You surely did not make a mistake. You not only carefully considered every fabric of my being -- my personality, my laugh, my emotions, my passions and dreams -- but you stamped me with your beauty.

Honestly, sometimes I don't see the beauty that you created. I look in the mirror in disbelief. That must hurt you. When I dwell on my flaws and shortcomings, you must be grieved. For you never created me as a problem. In fact, you were thinking about me before creation. You chose me and set me apart to be holy and blameless in your sight. Ephesians 1:4 

Please forgive me for complaining about your handiwork. Teach me to see your beauty in me and around me. Dear Father, thank you for the unbelievable gift of being created in your image. Now that's beauty! I want to learn to walk and talk like you.

I choose to believe that the crown of your creation is your people. I don't want to judge people around me, criticize and pull them down. They are your most beautiful creation. Please convict me when I begin to tarnish your most exquisite creation with unkind thoughts and words. They don't deserve it, and neither do you.

Open my eyes to see the wonder in the crown of your creation -- the people around me. I want to see what you see. I want to feel what you feel for your people. 

Thank you, Father, for teaching me how to walk, think and talk as the crown of your creation. In Jesus' name, Amen.
