Jesus stopped and responded to the man's hunger - to his desperation - to his faith. Jesus called the man over and asked what he wanted. The blind man said, "Lord, I want to see."
Pray
Dear Jesus, I want to see you more clearly. I want to see your power at work in my life. Speak to me now. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. Read Mark 10:46-52 Ask When the crowd told the man to be quiet, what did he do? What did Jesus say was the source of the man's healing? Reflect There was a blind man - Bartimaeus of Mark 10 - who was on the side of the road as Jesus passed by. When the blind man heard it was Jesus passing by, he called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me." The crowd told the blind man to be quiet. In other words, they were saying, "Stop bothering Jesus. He's too important for you." But the man did not quit. He called out all the louder. Jesus stopped and responded to the man's hunger - to his desperation - to his faith. Jesus called the man over and asked what he wanted. The blind man said, "Lord, I want to see." Jesus said, "Go, your faith has healed you." The man received his sight. He met and experienced God because of his faith - shown by his humility and hunger. Your faith paves the way for your healing. Jesus waits to work with you. Meditate Mark 10:52 - “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Apply Call out to Jesus for healing or breakthrough in your life or someone you know. Be like the blind beggar. Call out louder even when it seems inappropriate. Activate your faith. Let him hear your desperate cry again. He indeed is listening and answering.
