Worship Moves God

Picture
Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;
you are the praise of Israel.
Psalms 22:3 NIV

When we worship we long to meet with God. We call out for him to come and make himself known in our midst. Do you know that he does respond to your praise? He moves with your movement.

The literal sense of this verse is that God sits down on our praises. So, in our worship, we create a platform for God to presence himself upon. Indeed, God is looking for worshippers who will worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). In other words, he is looking for a place to land.

Do you realize that God is actively seeking out places where he is wanted, where he is being worshipped? Wholehearted worship creates a landing pad or a platform for God to come down upon. God wants to make himself manifest in our gatherings. But he waits for our initiation of joyous worship.

When God lands upon us, everything changes. Joy, conviction of sin and healing break out. He infuses our worship with his response of love. This causes our worship to be elevated to another level.

It’s so important to realize that God is responding in the moment to your worship. Call out to him to come land on you. He watches and waits… waits for the invitation to come down upon you.
