DAY 4
Pray
Dear Father, Thank you for adopting me. I want to know You more. Please teach me your ways. Come close to me in this time. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Read
Galatians 4:3-7
Ephesians 1:3-8
Ask

Meditate
Romans 8:15-16 - For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
Apply
If you have a sense that you live as an orphan, though you are an adopted child of the King, take time to repent of living in this lie. Also, renounce the orphan spirit. Speak out, “I cut the orphan spirit off my life in Jesus’ name. I cut off all associations with living as an orphan, and I declare that I am a child of God.” Now take some time to worship your Father, thanking Him that He made you part of His family.

Read
Galatians 4:3-7
Ephesians 1:3-8
Ask
- Is it possible for you to be a son or daughter of the Father, but still act like a slave? How does this play out in your life?
- Read slowly through Ephesians 1:3-8. What are all the benefits of being adopted into the family of God?
Reflect
- The characteristics of the orphan: over-looked, rejected, rebellious, hoards comfort, independent.
- The characteristics of the child of God: valued, cherished, loved, submitted, dependent, gives love.
- Who are you?
