To guard yourself against anxiety, take the following prescription. Repeat daily.

Philippians 4:4-8 NIV - "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things."
MESSAGE: Rejoice. This is a choice to obey. Ask. And be thankful when you do it. Think. Choose to set your mind on truth as you thank God for who He is. PRAY
Dear Father, I thank you that you are near and that you hear me. Right now, I am feeling anxious about _______________________. I ask that you would change this situation for the good and bring your peace. I place it into your hands. And I will now choose to think about you… that you are good, right, pure, lovely, loving, ___________, _____________, _______________. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Ask a friend if you can pray for them. Is there any particular need they have? Pause for a moment and ask Jesus how to pray. Then, lay your hand on your friend simply offer your prayer to God with thanksgiving.
