Mark 4:7-8 NIV - "Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times.”
What kind of soil are you planted in? What kind of relationships do you surround yourself with? Do they breathe life into you? Do they choke life out of you?
We make choices of who to surround ourselves with. It is not random. Do you feed off of other people's negativity? Are you attracted to those who ride the line of independence and rebellion?
Sometimes even Christian friends can breathe hopelessness into our lives. Will you intentionally seek out friends who will speak hope over you? It's not enough to have the same belief system. It's all about speaking life and courage into each other… allowing the Holy Spirit to flow in your relationships.
When you are surrounded with the right soil, fruit will be sure to come. Abundant fruit will come to those who choose relationships of hope.
