Peace has a name - the Holy Spirit. Peace is not found in a state of mind or a calm disposition. It is found in the person of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told his disciples that he would send Someone to be with them, a Counselor who would always tell the truth. And then Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you." He was leaving us with the Holy Spirit.

Our world is obsessed with finding peace. More yoga classes, more journeys into nature, more soothing lattes. We arrange schedules, weekends and holidays in an effort to find peace. But our efforts fall short.

True peace is not the peace that the world gives. It is found in the person of the Holy Spirit. Intimacy with this One brings rest for the soul. And that is what you need. You need a rock-solid steadiness in your spirit that can weather all the seasons in your life. More sleep and more music will not give this to you. But He can.

The Holy Spirit is peace. Get to know him. He waits for you.

Dear Holy Spirit, I come to You. I want to be filled with You. In You is life, fulfilment and peace. Please walk with me today. Thank You for Your promise of peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
