Believe Jesus THIS Time

THINK ABOUT IT
I followed Jesus for three years. At first I followed Jesus as a rabbi, then a healer, then a miracle worker. I even thought he could be the Messiah... but then again, my idea of what a Messiah really was proved to be untrue.

If you had lived when Jesus walked this earth, you might think, "I would always believe. I would never struggle with doubt... if I could just see Him in action." Well, I saw Him in action. I was there when He calmed a storm on the Sea of Galilee, when He breathed life into a dead girl, when He cast demons out of an oppressed man, and when He created enough food for thousands to eat. I was there.

But, even though you have witnessed the miracles of Jesus, do you ever wonder if He will come through for you THIS time? Although I had witnessed first-hand the miracles of Jesus, I still doubted after He died. I truly thought that it was the end.

"Even Messiahs die," I thought.

And then He came back... for me! He said, "Touch Me. Stop doubting and believe." And suddenly the years of walking with Jesus and witnessing His miracles fell into place. In every word and every miracle, He had been crying out, "Believe Me! I am God, and I am with you!"

When I realize that God is alive, and He is with me, everything changes. When I realize that THIS time, He will still show up, I am filled with hope.

Dear Jesus, You truly are God. I believe that today, THIS time, You will still provide wisdom, comfort and miracles. I believe in You. Amen.
