In order to fill the ache for greater meaning, we turn to our phones, apps, instagram, videos -- really anything to distract us from what is really going on. The relationship void.
To this weary and burdened person, Jesus speaks, "Come to me." It's a person you need. It's a personal, relational interaction with Jesus that you long for. We learn to cover up this need and longing with gadgets and mindless surfing. But we know our hearts cry for the personal touch from our Creator.
The source of real soul-rest comes from Jesus. Hearing his voice and responding to him in faith brings the greatest joy imaginable. He actually fills you. He wants to relationally communicate his love to you. This will mean taking time to wait on him, read his Word, listen to his gentle whispers. He's waiting for you to come….
