Matthew 6:14-15 NIV - "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Keep Reading...
We have all experienced rejection. From a rude glance to outright abuse, we know what it is to feel the pain of broken relationships through rejection. The cycle often repeats itself. The rejected ones will tend to reject others, unless Jesus' healing power breaks the cycle. The good news is that Jesus can save us from repeating history, setting us free from the bondage of rejection. Since rejection can be such a common experience in our lives, we often tend to ignore it or push the pain deep within ourselves. Recognizing the pain of rejection is the first step to walking in freedom. Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of people and events in your life that were sources of rejection. The point is not digging up pain as an end in itself. When we identify the pain of rejection, we can be healed. Jesus asked the blind man in Mark 10:51 where he wanted to be healed. The blind man responded by identifying his need and was healed on the spot. After identifying the people and moments of rejection, Jesus calls us to forgive those that brought us pain. As hard as it seems, making the choice to forgive always leads to freedom. Forgiveness doesn't always deal with the pain, however. God wants to completely deal with the rejection in your life by healing your wounds. You can invite him to touch your pain and take away the sting of rejection. He waits for your invitation.
