The impulse to hide, to cover up weakness is real. In our day, are weaknesses celebrated? No, the strong and fit, the talented and well-spoken are applauded. The flesh loves to be noticed. Keep Reading...
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
What does our world desperately need? God to be seen. The world needs to know and experience the power of God. How will this happen? We need to become less and less the main character on the stage. Rather, we should become part of the stage itself that supports the main character - God.
Our background, servant (“weak”) roles should be taken hold of as great value. As we get less glory, he gets more. Let us not try to steal the limelight or take the stage from him. The world needs more of him, not us.
Embrace your limits (physical, mental, financial, etc.). They actually become the platform or stage upon which God shows his glory. Expect the power of God to be released in the ordinary places of your life. Look to celebrate him at every turn. Use your weakness as an opportunity to applaud his strength.
Join John the Baptist in saying, “He must become greater; I must become less.” John 3:30

Thank God for your limitations… for specific areas of “weakness” in your life. Now ask him to reveal his power in the ordinary and “weak” points of your day. Watch for him. He wants to be seen.
